Join City Gurlz Hike for our next hike: Fort Funston on Sunday, May 31! ☀️

City Gurlz will hike through Fort Funston, 200-foot-high sandy bluffs on San Francisco’s southwest coast where the winds blow reliably wildly so bring layers and sunglasses. This event is perfect for nature enthusiasts and nature newbies alike! Bring comfy shoes or outdoors sandals like Tevas because it's sandy. These sand dunes tend to be windy so be prepared with a hair scarf or good hat.

After intros and a quick stretch close to the parking lot, we will make our way around Fort Funston. Most of this hike is on flat, paved sidewalk and some parts are sandy. The full event starts at 11:30 AM and ends around 2:30 PM. Check out AllTrails for more information about the Fort Funston Trail but we will also make stops off the trail.

Things to Bring:

💦 water

🥾 hiking shoes, comfy sneakers, or sandals

🍎 a snack for energy

🧢 scarf or hat because it will be windy

🕶️ sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sand

Meeting Point & Transportation 🚌

The hike will begin promptly at 11 AM at the meeting spot. The meeting point is Nike Missile Site SF-59L :) The 58 Muni line drops you off really close by.
