Statistical structural biology seeks to move beyond the classic single-dataset, single-structure paradigm. The most compelling questions in the field—elucidating the dynamics of transient biological events, understanding allostery, investigating how binding events reshape the conformational landscape—cannot be effectively addressed with a single structure alone. Tackling these challenges demands large-scale data analysis, statistical interpretation of conformational ensembles, and careful exploration of the relationships between multiple maps and models. This conference brings together researchers pushing in these directions, with a particular focus on integrating structural approaches with complementary methods such as molecular dynamics, genomics, and proteomics.
The workshop will take place on June 8th/9th at UCSF Mission Bay. Please head to the information tab for more details.
