PACIFIC PALISADES, CA — House Museum is offering private guided visits to the Chimney Yard in Pacific Palisades—the active site of the Palisades Fire Memorial, where six historic chimneys salvaged from homes lost in the January 2025 fire are being preserved for a permanent public memorial.  Led by artist and House Museum director Evan Curtis Charles Hall, each outdoor studio visit brings up to 14 people directly into the recovery effort. Guests walk among the masonry structures while hearing the stories of architects Richard Neutra, Ray Kappe, and Eric Lloyd Wright, the displaced families, and the heroic salvage crews who rescued each chimney from demolition in the fire’s immediate aftermath. Through firsthand engagement with the salvaged structures, guests encounter the Palisades Fire Memorial not as a finished monument, but as a living act of preservation—unfolding in real time, in the place where it matters most. As featured by Architectural Digest, Los Angeles Times, The Guardian, NPR, and RadioFrance, the emergent cultural landmark holds over one hundred years of Southern California architectural history and represents the community’s determination to rebuild.  Visits are available by reservation only, with a minimum contribution of $250 per person. Proceeds help fund the memorial’s completion and permanent installation.
