when: 21 September 2024 | venue: State Library of NSW | cost: Adult $80.00 | address: Macquarie Street, Sydney NSW 2000If you’re curious about trying different art-making techniques or developing the ones you have, this is the workshop for you! It’s designed for all levels of experience. We’ll use Library collections as inspiration and explore our creativity in a beautiful art-making space.
In this full-day workshop, you’ll take an old book and alter its pages with paint, collage and stitching.
There will be plenty to inspire you because you will also sketch and draw in the Paintings Gallery and view extraordinary, rarely seen artists’ books from our collection.
We will supply all materials but if you have an old book that you would like to transform, please bring it along.
Morning tea will be provided – please bring your own lunch as there are limited options nearby.
Meet at the entrance to the John B Fairfax Learning Centre, Ground floor, Mitchell Library building. The Library opens at 10 am.
