The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to welcome photographers Henry Diltz and Jay Blakesberg to the Museum's intimate 200-seat Clive Davis Theater for an engaging evening of visuals and storytelling. Sharing images of artists they've worked with, Diltz and Blakesberg will tell stories behind their shoots and discuss how photographing these artists changed over the decades. ABOUT HENRY DILTZ Henry Diltz, a renowned music photographer, has shot over 250 album covers in the '60s and '70s, including The Doors' iconic Morrison Hotel album cover. His fly-on-the-wall style portraits feature legendary artists like the Eagles, Neil Young, Crosby Stills & Nash, Joni Mitchell, and Jimi Hendrix.  He was the official photographer at Woodstock in 1969, and his work has appeared in esteemed publications such as The New York Times, Rolling Stone and Life Magazine. Known for his intuitive composition and use of natural light, Diltz continues his career documenting the music scene around Southern California and across the globe. He is one of a select few who has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Grammys, The Lucie, and the International Photography Hall of Fame. His impact on rock culture is immeasurable, capturing authentic moments that define an era. ABOUT JAY BLAKESBERG Jay Blakesberg is a San Francisco–based photographer, filmmaker, and public speaker whose career in music photography began in 1978. Over the past four decades, he has documented some of the most influential artists in modern music, including the Grateful Dead, Neil Young, Carlos Santana, Tom Waits, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Flaming Lips. His photography has appeared in thousands of magazines worldwide, as well as in books, album packages, and numerous documentary films. Jay has published 18+ coffee table books, 14 of them through his own imprint, Rock Out Books. His third solo museum exhibition, RetroBlakesberg: The Music Never Stopped, is currently on display at the GRAMMY Museum. In 2020, Jay and his daughter Ricki launched Retro Photo Archive, representing over 20 photographers for licensing, exhibitions, and fine art print sales across all platforms.
