Deaf Life: Let’s talk about it is an event hosted by Deaf Connect that invites you to ask questions, learn more about the Deaf experience, culture and community, and get insights about raising a Deaf child.
What to expect
Drop in anytime from 11am to 3pm. When you arrive, you’ll be matched with one of our Deaf volunteers. You can dive into a wide-ranging conversation about growing up with Deafness and the importance of Deaf role models.
Children, friends and the whole family are encouraged to come along and participate. There’s fun for the kids and roving interpreters to make sure you get to ask your questions without fear of miscommunication.

The Deaf Life: Let’s talk about it events are a rich opportunity for hearing parents to ask the people who can best support you any questions about raising Deaf kids. You’ll have the opportunity to meet Family Mentors from Deaf Connect Family Services and enter the Deaf village.
