Gloria Molina Grand Park will come alive on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 6:00–10:00 p.m., with the first-ever Gloria Molina Grand Park Presents VendorFest Night Market, a vibrant and free celebration that will bring joy, visibility and cultural recognition to Angelenos of all ages.

Developed by CuratorLove and UNDOC+Collective in partnership with Gloria Molina Grand Park, Gloria Molina Grand Park Presents VendorFest Night Market honors street vendors as essential cultural workers who nourish, protect and connect L.A.’s richly diverse neighborhoods. Gloria Molina Grand Park Presents VendorFest reimagines the “park for everyone” as a public space for art and community by blending high-energy night market vibes with a large-scale public art installation and community visual storytelling.

“L.A.’s street vendors play a vital role in our community and contribute to the vibrancy of our diverse and distinctive neighborhoods,” said Robert Gonzalez, director of Gloria Molina Grand Park. “Gloria Molina Grand Park Presents VendorFest Night Market is our way of celebrating these vendors’ contribution to the culture of Los Angeles and honoring their hard work and tenacity.”

Gloria Molina Grand Park Presents VendorFest Night Market highlights the creative and cultural contributions of street vendors—from paleteros to eloteros—whose presence shape L.A. every day. Rooted in celebration and collective care among Angelenos, the free event highlights street vendors as culture bearers of Angelenos’ immigrant roots and the anchors of neighborhood life. The evening will feature dozens of street vendors operating from colorful, custom-designed carts by Revolution Carts and local artisans who will sell handmade goods and original designs. Music by DJ Butchona will energize the park throughout the evening.

Guests will also be able to view large-scale visual art that will illuminate the façade of the historic Los Angeles County Hall of Records, which will showcase works by dozens of L.A.-based artists and community members. The unique projection transforms the building into a bold, playful and powerful tribute to street vendor culture. The visual narrative is complemented by the debut of ¡Vendedores, Vendedores! (2026), a series of sculptural concrete benches by renowned artist Ruben Ochoa; the benches reimagine vendor infrastructure—specifically the iconic rainbow sombrillas (umbrellas)—as public monuments to invite rest, gathering and connection while honoring labor in the civic space. ¡Vendedores, Vendedores! will remain on display at the park through July 2026.

Gloria Molina Grand Park Presents VendorFest Night Market will also feature the LA County Arts & Culture’s Public Artists in Development (PAiD), an independent initiative aligned with the park’s ongoing commitment to cultural equity and creative workforce visibility. As part of the PAiD launch, the public art installation Shades of Labor consists of seven large-scale umbrella sculptures, each symbolizing one of the states in the nation most affected by immigration enforcement actions. The umbrellas transform harsh sunlight into spaces of shade, rest and reflection; they serve as metaphoric shelters that encourage dialogue, raise awareness of immigrant realities and offer hope. PAiD is funded by the Mellon Foundation, with support in development and delivery by Dyson & Womack.

“Street vendors are the heartbeat of Los Angeles, and Gloria Molina Grand Park Presents VendorFest Night Market is an invitation to gather, to celebrate and to recognize just how much their labor and presence sustain our communities,” said Erika Hirugami, founder of CuratorLove and co-founder of UNDOC+Collective. “Angelenos and food lovers of all ages are invited to what will be an incredible evening of solidarity to celebrate street vendors as important community members.”
