Grand Ave., Los Angeles 90012Offering a unique Valentine’s Day celebration inspired by the legacy of radio host Art Laboe, nostalgic sounds and community connection that have shaped generations of L.A. love stories, Gloria Molina Grand Park’s Love Notes invites all Angelenos and visitors to the “park for everyone” to experience the power of love with heartfelt song dedications; “oldies but goodies” spun by Dedicated to You’s DJs Lee Set and Devil One; a classic car show; hands-on art activities and more. The four-hour celebration of all forms of love, community and unity will culminate in a breathtaking drone show that will light up the night sky with a love letter to Los Angeles—making hearts and spirits soar.
Throughout the free event, visitors can explore some local vendors; express their creativity at LA2050’s VaLAntine’s Day Cards art activity; assemble floral bouquets with instruction by Agustina’s Flower Bar; enjoy tote bags specially designed and screen-printed onsite by L.A. artist Las Chicas Peligrosas; and snap photos with beautifully restored classic cars from Viejitos SGV.
Bring blankets and a picnic to enjoy with loved ones, or purchase delicious bites and beverages from Cerda Vega, Best-Sis Bobas and Cafe Alegria. Cake Girl will be providing free Valentine’s Day treats to the first 250 guests.
