Intro to West Coast Swing 2025EXPIRED

Imagine you could dance to all your favourite songs effortlessly, impressing even yourself with your skills. This is what we do all the time in West Coast Swing and anyone can come along, learn and become part of our community.

We're launching the 2025 series of Intro to West Coast Swing for Beginners workshops from 6pm-7.30pm. No prior experience necessary, just a willingness to learn and openness to fun! Numbers will be capped to ensure everyone has a good experience. You'll even get a chance to practice your new moves in the social from 7.30pm to 8pm.

Bring your friends, partners, anyone who you think would be interested in trying out a new dance! Don't worry if you don't bring anyone with you, you'll have the opportunity to dance with other first timers on the day.

This a 1.5 hour taster session + social dancing to introduce you to basic patterns of West Coast Swing and what makes it unique.

Note that this is part of a larger community event, which means you'll get to meet a few existing westies before they begin their practice and get a glimpse of what you can do.
