West Coast jazz legend and treasured elder statesman of the Los Angeles music community, cornetist Bobby Bradford leads a special project paying tribute to baseball hero Jackie Robinson, credited with breaking the sport’s “color line” when he joined the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. Bradford’s septet features a who’s who of SoCal musical luminaries in a suite of music that swings and swirls, evoking both the power and poignancy of Robinson’s revolutionary career.
