Having begun his professional career at the age of fifteen, Martik rose to prominence in the 1970s, introducing elements of classic rock and R&B to Iranian audiences and giving new life to contemporary Persian songwriting through his own original, haunting melodies. Since relocating to Los Angeles in 1980, he has released nine acclaimed albums and performed for thousands around the world.
