The show celebrates music from the iconic Motown era (1959 to the present), featuring legends like Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Eddie Floyd, Grover Washington, The Temptations, and James Brown. The band also pays homage to later artists inspired by the Motown sound, including Eric Clapton, The Doors, Bryan Ferry, The Rolling Stones, Human Nature, Gloria Gaynor, Tina Turner, and Amy Winehouse.
Motown Records originally tailored its music to sound great on car radios in Detroit, where the style was born. This signature sound, driven by a thumping backbeat, made everyone want to get up and dance. Complementing this classic vibe is the soulful brass of our ensemble, represented by the saxophone.
Motown & Beyond takes it further by adding a fresh twist, performing high-energy hits, soulful ballads, and pop classics that span from the ‘60s and ‘70s to today. Whether you’re dancing, tapping your feet, singing along, or simply relaxing, this band will keep you entertained with dazzling vocals and timeless tunes.
Get ready for an unforgettable celebration of rhythm and soul!
