Why should you care about self care?
Nervous system regulation
The many parts of me
Welcoming vulnerability
Glimmers (the good stuff!)
Reframing self talk
Breath and grounding practices

"My feelings were validated hearing other parents experiences. The facilitators made it easy to integrate practices into everyday life." - Kate, workshop participant

"As a mum to two sons, one of whom lives with a disability, I have 17 years of lived experience navigating this specific kind of parenting. At times it’s a tough road and I’ve learned that the inner work of nurturing ourselves is not a luxury but rather a necessity - something we can, and should, offer lovingly and regularly to ourselves. I’ve developed this workshop, with invaluable input from other parents of children with disabilities as well as my colleagues here at PDCN, with the intention for parents walking a path similar to mine to feel seen, heard, and valued. It’s such a pleasure to share my story and personal practices that have supported me in my own journey of self-nurture. My hope is that sharing this workshop supports you too." - Nicole
"I have lived with disability for 18 years and have worked alongside People with Disability and their parents and carers for over a decade. I don't pretend to know what it’s like to be a parent of a child with disability but I’m a strong believer that I need to look after myself and do understand what effort it takes to be a great Dad with disability. I hope this workshop strengthens you and adds to your skills to navigate the tough road." - Adrian
