A beginner-friendly Acrylic Painting Workshop followed by a live sound bath.

Join us on the beach for a calming, beginner-friendly acrylic painting workshop, where artist Pat Conlon will guide participants step by step in creating a beautiful ocean sunset.

We will end the day with a live sound bath led by musician X. Ari.

This FREE community event is made possible by Wisdomania Foundation, a local LA non-profit dedicated to blending the arts and self-care to create meaningful, restorative experiences.

Each participant will paint on an 11x14 canvas and take their finished artwork home.

No prior skills or experience are necessary. Everything will be guided in a step by step process. All materials are provided. All ages welcome. This is a FREE event! Donations are appreciated.

Event Flow & Structure:

1:30 - 1:45 Welcome & Introductions

1:45 - 3:15 Acrylic Paint Workshop

3:15 - 3:45 Sound Bath

3:45 - 4:00 Closing

The closest parking lot (2100 Ocean Front Walk, Venice) costs $10 and is accessible on N Venice Blvd (& Speedway) or near IT'SUGAR Candy Store. Please note, this lot can get full on a Sunday. Of course, you can find street or meter parking which will be less expensive or free. This is more difficult later in the day.

Please arrive EARLY. We will begin promptly at 1:30 PM. It gets busy in Venice Beach at this time. Please factor in traffic and parking. Please consider the weather as we will be outside on the beach. Please wear clothes and shoes that you do not mind getting paint on. We will be using water based acrylic paint. Please bring a towel or yoga mat and EXTRA layers, blankets and warm clothes for the sound bath. It will be colder at this time and you will be laying down.

We will be on the beach kneeling and sitting. We will have tarps but there will be sand. Feel free to bring a towel, blanket or chair. Public bathrooms and sinks are walking distance from the location. I will also have a washing station at the site. The whole event is 2.5 hours and will end at 4 PM.

Please consider how you will be transporting your painting after the event. It still may be wet. We will provide cardboard for easier transport. If you have ANY questions or issues, please call me (240) 277-7272
