Pasadena, CA — The Pasadena Bead & Design Show returns to the Pasadena Convention Center July 25–27, inviting the public to a curated marketplace of artisan handcraft where creativity, craftsmanship, and community come together.
Now in its 17th year of biannual shows, the event brings together over 300 exhibitors — including artists, tradespeople, and studio makers — offering an exceptional selection of handcrafted jewelry, beads, gemstones, wearable art, textiles, findings, and artisan supplies. Attendees will find longtime favorites alongside fresh discoveries — all showcasing quality materials and the beauty of handcraft.
A Living Celebration of the Handcraft Movement
The Pasadena Bead & Design Show is one of the premier events of its kind — a destination for artists, collectors, designers, and anyone who appreciates the art of making. Each piece tells a story: from hand-cut gemstones and lampwork glass beads to eco-dyed clothing, hand-stitched accessories, painted silks, and mixed-media jewelry.
Artisans are carefully selected by invitation and juried application, ensuring a high standard of originality and workmanship. Exhibits range from traditional techniques like lapidary, bead weaving, and silversmithing to contemporary forms such as polymer clay, enamel, metal clay, electroforming, and artwear.
In addition to finished works, visitors will find raw materials, tools, and rare finds — including tribal and vintage beads, natural fibers, pearls, antique findings, hill tribe silver, woodblock fabric, and hand-dyed textiles — ideal for designers and collectors alike.
Workshops, Demonstrations & Hands-On Exploration
Beyond shopping, the show offers a full schedule of interactive workshops and live demonstrations throughout all three days. Attendees can join make-and-take mini workshops or dive into longer classes in jewelry design, metalwork, enameling, wire wrapping, collage, resin, mixed media, and more.
Workshops are open to all skill levels — from curious beginners to experienced makers — and provide a rare opportunity to learn directly from working artists in an intimate setting.
