Join us for a celebration of the Lunar New Year at Plaza de la Raza, presented by Passion of the Cut Sleeve in partnership with the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs.
Ring in the Year of the Fire Horse with a live performance featuring modern queer interpretations of Chinese folklore and love stories. The evening includes theatre, poetry, lion dancing, and drag, accompanied by a live band performing on traditional Chinese instruments.
Experience stories like The Butterfly Lovers, The Ballad of Mulan, and The Fragrant Companion with a joyful and intergenerational celebration rooted in community, culture, and storytelling.
This all-ages performance runs approximately 80 minutes with no intermission.
Doors open at 6:30 PM.
Admission is free and first-come, first-served. Reserving a ticket on Eventbrite does not guarantee admission, so please plan to arrive early.
We invite audiences to stay after the show to mingle and build community.
