when: 14 Mar 2025 | venue: City Recital Hall | cost: Standard $69 | address: 2-12 Angel Place, Sydney NSW 2000Raunchy and dangerously fragile with an exceptional voice, Camille O’Sullivan is a courageous and singular performer, one of the most gifted interpreters of narrative songs about loss, love, joy, light, and darkness.
O'Sullivan’s Loveletter is a heartfelt homage to the songs of her dear friends and compatriots, Shane McGowan and Sinéad O’Connor.
O'Sullivan's connection to McGowan was deeply personal; she performed a beautiful version of “Haunted” at his funeral. It’s a testament to their friendship and the impact he had on her life and career. She toured with The Pogues and often performed “Fairytale of New York” in place of Kirsty MacColl. Performing with accompaniment from long-time collaborator Feargal Murray, Camille has created an intimate show capturing the honest response to those much loved and lost including interpretations of the work of Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, and more.
Voted one of the top 25 performances ever on Later with Jools Holland by The Telegraph, Camille O’Sullivan is a musician, vocalist, and actress who enjoys a formidable reputation for her intensely dramatic interpretations of the songs of Radiohead, Tom Waits, Brel, and more.
Camille first appeared in the original Olivier Award-Winning and trailblazing Spiegeltent cabaret show, La Clique in its debut year. Since then, the multi-award-winning singer has gone on to illustrious stardom on stage and screen appearing as a vaudeville star in the film Mrs Henderson Presents opposite Dame Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins, as well as touring with The Pogues and 5-star sell-out shows at the Sydney Opera House, Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall and Roundhouse, London. In addition, Camille won the coveted ‘Herald Angel’ award for her RSC solo performance The Rape of Lucrece.
A former award-winning architect and painter, this dark and mesmerizing, French/Irish Londoner transforms each song she performs into an intense, emotional, and theatrical experience.

"Ravishing, a superb performer and great singer… the star is her singing voice, a deep sultry instrument that might have been created to express desolate love" The Guardian
