The Plant Sale reemerges for 2025 at the Feminist Center For Creative Work
Artist and horticulturist Alika Cooper brings together an eclectic group of Los Angeles artists, growers, ceramicists, foragers, and DIY makers for a community-driven plant market that celebrates how people grow, create, and share. Think less winter bazaar and more a unique gathering for skill-building, plant education, artist-made craft, and inventive horticultural biohacks, with all the take-home holiday-gift perks.
This one-day event features rare plants, handmade pots, local horticulture, small-batch goods, and experimental growing practices from across the city. It’s a place where artists who work with soil, color, texture, scent, and form show how plants connect their creative worlds.

This year’s sale features organizations Rare Plant Catalog, Black Bean Mesa Farm, Leaf & Spine; artists Julia Haft-Candell, Fay Ray Clay; with refreshments by Drink Balo, Nicky Fisher Wines, and DJs George Jensen and Estuario Records. Organized by Chthonic Ivy, a Specialty-Garden maintenance & advisory.
