when: 04 December 2024 | venue: The Hive Bar | cost: Adult $22.49 | address: 93 Erskineville Road, Erskineville NSW 2043It's time we had a chat.
So much of what we're seeing, reading and hearing right now is polarised. If the last few weeks have taught us anything, it's that it is more important than ever to ask questions, listen deeply and learn more about how other people experience the world.
That's why Women's and Girls' Emergency Centre (better known as WAGEC) is hosting another "We Need To Talk".
We Need To Talk is an event designed to connect our community and work together toward gender equality through meaningful conversations. Learn, listen, and connect with one another while you ponder questions such as:
Is a leader's gender important?
What do you love about your gender?
Who should pay the bill on the first date?
If you've been feeling the weight of current events, this is the perfect place to meet like-minded people and talk about topics that matter. This is a safe space for everyone – regardless of gender – to have some important chats about things that matter.
So, invite your parents, siblings, partners, friends (heck, even your co-workers) to join us for an evening of conversation, connection and challenging the patriarchy.
Seats are limited, so get in early to make sure you don’t miss out. Grab your tickets today!
WAGEC acknowledges that we live and work on stolen Gadigal land. If you identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, you are not required to pay for entry to this event.
WAGEC also recognises the ongoing challenges our community may be facing due to the current cost-of-living crisis. We offer free tickets to those experiencing financial hardship.
To have your ticket fee waived, please reach out to our team via prevention@wagec.org.au.
